A User-ID will be your unique name on this system and is set when you Sign-up. It can be your name, a nickname, your company, or any 'handle' you would like. If you had an account on our old system, it's generally the first letter of your first name, and your last name. If you'd like to change it, you can have us delete your account and simply create a new one with any name you choose.

This will stop you from receiving mass mail from us, like the Weekly Sales In Your Area mailing. You'll still get mail from us if there's activity on your account like New Mail or a comment on your sale, etc. You can adjust those settings specifically by going to your Notification Settings

Yes, you have your very own private e-mail address on yardsales.com. It's whatever your UserID is @yardsales.com. How cool is that! We wanted you to be able to communicate with someone without needing to give them your real e-mail address.

You can read your email, after you Sign In, by going to the My Home button in the upper right corner of the page.

Credits are a way to pay for things like adding premium features to your sale listing. Basically you buy a bunch of credits up-front and we keep them in an electronic "wallet" on our system here, and you use them when you need them. That way you don't have to be hassled pulling out your credit card each time you want to do something. Once you purchase credits, they are non-refundable. In addition, if you have a certain minimum in your account you can even transfer them to other members here. Some membership levels (like VIP) are immune to credit charges.

Credits are a kinda like virtual coins and used to pay for things on yardsales.com, like adding premium features to your yardsale listing.

So, for example, if you were posting a yardsale and wanted it to be highlighted and stand out in the list of yardsales you'll notice it costs a few credits to do that. Or if you wanted your listing to appear first, there's a small credit fee for that. All you have to do is buy some credits, we'll attach them to your account in a sort of 'virtual wallet', and you can use them as you need them for various services on yardsales.com. This way, you buy a small batch once at the start and use them as you want, and we don't have to prompt you for a credit card every time you want to do something special.

Go to Find Sales/Items enter your "start point" (use a specific address or simply enter a zip/postal code) and the distance you are willing to go to see things - then "Search". If you are looking for a specific item, click Keyword Search and enter it in the box provided - then "Search".

You'll find the Search Form by Sale ID near the bottom of the home page.

You may search for sales/items as far from your home or starting point as you like. If you want to look within a certain distance from your start point, enter the furthest distance you are willing to go and we will find the sales/sellers within that radius.

We do NOT accept "adult" or pornographic items, descriptions or photos. Besides, your Mamma might use this site!
